Privacy Policy

This application (“the App”) is an unofficial, third-party front end for matchtrak.com (“MatchTrak”). It exists only to provide a mobile-friendly view of information that is already available to authenticated users on matchtrak.com, so referees can browse and select games more easily on a phone.

1. What the App does with your data

• You enter your existing MatchTrak username and password on the sign-in page.
• The App forwards those credentials directly to matchtrak.com over HTTPS in order to authenticate on your behalf. The App never stores or logs your password.
• MatchTrak returns a session token. The App keeps that token in server memory for the duration of your visit (up to 8 hours) and discards it on sign-out or expiry.
• The App retrieves your schedule, pending games, and completed games from MatchTrak using the session token and presents them in a mobile-friendly layout.
• All reservation actions (accepting or declining games) still take place on matchtrak.com — the App links out to the official site to submit those actions.

2. What is stored

• Credentials: not stored. Passed through to matchtrak.com once per sign-in and discarded.
• MatchTrak session token: held in server memory only while you are signed in; not written to any database or disk file by the App.
• Your filter preferences (cities, divisions, date ranges, ref-open selections, chosen radius): stored as HTTP cookies on your own device so the App remembers them between visits. Clear them any time via "Reset filters" or by clearing your browser cookies.
• Your location (if you use "Use my location"): obtained by your browser from the device and stored as a cookie on your own device. It is used only to compute distances locally. The App does not send your personal location to any third party.
• Park coordinates → city lookup cache: the App resolves venue (park) coordinates to city names using the free OpenStreetMap Nominatim service and caches the results locally. Only park coordinates are sent — never your location or identity.

3. What the App does NOT do

• No analytics, tracking pixels, or third-party advertising cookies.
• No sale, rental, or sharing of your information with any third party.
• No storage of your schedule, referee information, or game history beyond a 60-second in-memory cache used to avoid re-fetching from MatchTrak on every click.

4. Third-party services

• matchtrak.com — your credentials, session, and the game data itself are handled by MatchTrak. Their own privacy policy and terms govern that relationship.
• OpenStreetMap Nominatim — used only to translate park coordinates into city names. Cached after first lookup.

5. Security

Credentials are transmitted over HTTPS to matchtrak.com. Session cookies issued by the App are marked HttpOnly and (on HTTPS) Secure. However, no internet transmission is ever completely secure; use of the App is at your own risk.

6. Your responsibilities

By using the App you confirm that you are an authorized MatchTrak referee with a valid MatchTrak account and that you are entitled to access the data the App retrieves on your behalf.

7. Changes

This policy may be updated from time to time. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
